The philadelphia phillies are in town, to take on the Atlanta Braves. Tommy Hanson (1-1, 2.38 ERA) will be on the mound for the hometown Bravos. His opponent will be a struggling Kyle Kendrick (no decisions, 17.47 ERA). Jimmy Rollins is still on the DL, as the phils begin a 9 game road trip. At 7-5, the Braves are one game behind first place philadelphia.
But, this ain't the only game in town. After winning game one, the Atlanta Hawks look to take command of their 1st round playoff series against the milwaukee bucks. Opening tip is just a few minutes away. In game 1, rookie buck, Brandon Jennings torched Atlanta for 34 points. But, the Hawks cruised to victory, anyway. Tonight, Atlanta must own the paint and make Jennings take some tough shots. A hard foul or two on the rook wouldn't be a bad idea, either. It's the playoffs and Atlanta needs to stay focused, play with intensity, and never let up.

Hawks lead 28-20 after 1st.
2:06 till half. Hawks lead 46-40. Brandon Jennings just missed a dunk (dropped the ball on the way to the rim). Philips Arena is going crazy.
Hawks lead 52-46 at the half. Braves trail philadelphia 1-0 in the bottom of 4th. Tommy Hanson just struck out Carlos Ruiz with phils on 1st and 2nd, to retire the side.
Hope the Braves can crank up their offense. Matt Diaz up to bat. Grounds out. Damn. Martin Prado up for Atlanta and takes ball 1. 2-0 now to Prado. 3-0 to Martin. Dude should be taking here.

Chipper Jones to bat.

Doube by Chipper. Prado goes to 3B.
McCann bats with 1 out and Braves on 2nd and 3rd. Brian takes ball 1.
3-0 to the Braves catcher. phils will intentionally walk McCann.

5-4-3 double play. Braves waste a great opportunity to score. Damn.

Hawks over Milwaukee by 18. Josh Smith at the line for an and 1. Misses FT. Lane violation on milwaukee. Josh makes FT. Hawks by 19 with just over 1:00 left in 3rd.
Bucks on a run. 76-62 Atlanta with 14 seconds left. Clock ticks down as refs fail to call foul against defender guarding Josh Smith.
Hawks take 14 point lead into 4th.
Hawks lead 94-77 with 3 and a half minutes left.
Braves still trail bad guys 2-0.
Hawks win 96-86.
