Braves At Giants

The Atlanta Braves are out west, to take on the Giants in San Francisco. Chipper Jones is out of the line up, as he is listed as "day to day" with a tweak to his right oblique. Tim Hudson will take the mound for Atlanta. He posted a 2-1 record with an ERA of 3.61 in limited action last season. He will be opposed by Johnathan Sanchez, who went 8-12 with a 4.24 ERA in 2009. Yunel Escobar will bat in the 3 hole, vacated by the injured Larry Wayne Jones, Jr. First pitch is just minutes away. Go Braves!

It's way to early to pay a lot of attention to stats, but SS Edgar Renteria is off to a sizzling start for San Francisco. The 14 year veteran is currently batting .727 through the first week of the 2010 MLB season. Sounds like he's do for an 0-4 performance tonight.
