September 19 in the SEC

Louisville @ Kentucky. 12:00 on ESPNU. Kats kick Cardinals azz.

North Texas @ Bama. 12:20 on ESPN360.com and SEC Network. NP.

Tennessee @ Florida. 3:30 on CBS. Vols win!! Just kidding. I ain't wearing the "crazy hat" this week. If UT can beat Florida, then I can date Paris Hilton. Sorry, Lame Kiffin (and self), it ain't happenin! Gators win 357- 7. And, the only song Kiffin will be singin' is the Rocky Top Blues.

Georgia @ Arkansas. 7:45 on ESPN and ESPN360.com. Rested Hogs destroy Dawgs.

West Virginia @ Auburn. 7:45 on ESPN2 and ESPN360.com. Tigers go 3-0.

Louisiana Lafayette @ LSU. 7:00 on ESPNU. NP.

Southeastern Louisiana @ Ole Miss. 7:30 on ESPN360.com. NP.

Mississippi State @ Vanderbilt. 7:00 on ESPN360.com. Commodores beat Dogs.

Last week, I predicted that Vanderbilt would knock off LSU...in Baton Rouge. Click on the title of this post to see how I'm feeling after that pick.

*NP = No prediction.

Happy Birthday, Sammy!

Got an email from an angry Georgia fan. "What's your problem, dude? Dawgs get destroyed by Arkansas? Come on, man!!"

To answer your question, my problem is that all I've seen from UGA through 2 games, is an inconsistent team that continues to turn the ball over (6 so far), commit costly penalties (13 for 108yards vs South Carolina), and fail to pressure opposing QBs (1 sack through 2 games).

To borrow a line from Tony Barnhardt, "That ain't gonna get it done in the SEC."
Arkansas may be "untested," but the Hogs have a huge advantage in this game. Bobby Petrino has virtually been able to prep his team for this contest, all throughout the offseason.

Georgia is already banged up (starting LT Sturdivant- gone for season and starting DE Rod Battle- also out for year with ACL injuries). That doesn't include posession WR Kris Durham, who sustained a season ending injury in the spring. His absence makes it more difficult for the Red and Black to move the chains.
RB Caleb King could make his 09 debut vs the Hogs. But, will his performance be diminished due to lost reps during valuable practice time, caused by hamstring issues?

Injuries are something every team must deal with, but Georgia has already suffered some very hefty blows to the depth chart.

To be honest, I'm praying that the Dawgs prove me wrong this week. Another loss this early would be tough to overcome. But, if UGA is going to have any success on Saturday, these young Dawgs need to grow up...FAST. Georgia has plenty of talent, but some of their most exciting playmakers have been making plays for both sidelines.

Thanks for your email. I guess we're both hoping the Dawgs prove me wrong.
