After a thrilling one to nothing victory on Friday, the Atlanta Braves hope to defeat the Toronto Blue Jays tonight. Derek Lowe is on the mound for Atlanta. Chipper Jones (toe) and Yunel Escobar (hip flexor) are not in the Braves lineup. So far, the game is scoreless in the second inning. A one out single by Lind brings Scott Rolen to the plate. But, a double play ball retires the side.
Prado, Francouer, and recent call up Diory Hernandez will bat for Atlanta in the second. I'll be following the action. Look for some updates in the comments section. (As I type this, Prado grounds out. Francouer singles to center. 1 on with 1 out for Hernandez, who hit .355 for the Gwinett Braves. A 5-4-3 double play off the bat of Hernandez ends the inning).

Back to back singles by Toronto in the 3rd put Lowe in some early trouble. Blue Jays SP Casey Janssen is at the plate. Sacrifice bunt advances the runners to 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. Marco Scutaro (.272 avg) at the plate.
Scutaro doubles to right. 2-0 Toronto.
Aaron Hill flies out to right field. Scutaro still at second.
Alex Rios (.265 avg) also flies out to Francouer. Braves down 2-0, as CF Jordan Schafer comes up to bat. He'll be followed by Derek Lowe.
Schafer grounds out, but Lowe singles to left centerfield. Kelly Johnson (.228 avg) at the plate. Ball 1 to KJ.
Single by Johnson. Casey Kotchman now bats for Atlanta.
2 RUN DOUBLE BY KOTCHMAN! The game is tied,
Garrett Anderson flies out to Rios.

Radio guys are saying that rain is on the way. Once it gets here, they don't expect the down pour to stop any time soon.
Braves need to take the lead. 3-2 to McCann.
Ground out to 1st ends the inning. Wells, Lind, Rolen due up for Toronto.
Diory Hernandez bats for Atlanta with 1 out in the 4th. Francouer is on second base. The count is 2-1 to Hernandez.
Diory draws a walk. Jordan Schafer (.213 avg) grounds out. Runners advance to 2nd and 3rd. 2 out for Derek Lowe. How 'bout another single from the Braves pitcher? 0-1 to Lowe. He did it! RBI single puts Atlanta up 3-2, as rain approaches the Atlanta metro area. Kelly Johnson up to bat.
Correction: Atlanta metro area, should read metro Atlanta area. My bad.
KJ flies out. 3-2 Braves, thanks to the great hitting of Jeff Francouer and Derek Lowe. 3 more outs + rain could equal an Atlanta victory. It's a long season. Gotta take wins, any way you can get them!
Here comes the rain. SP Janssen leads off for Toronto in top of 5th. Grounds out. Marco Scutaro now batting for Blue Jays.

Hill singles up the middle. Alex Rios up to bat.

Ball 4 to Rolen. Bobby Cox ain't happy. Blue Jays have runners on 1st and 2nd, as Lyle Overbay comes up to bat with 1 out. 0-1 the count.

RBI single. 4-3 Braves. Rolen to 3rd. 1 skinny out.
Barajas takes ball 1.
Ball 2 misses way high. Soriano up in Braves bullpen. 3-0 to Barajas. Kevin Millar on deck. BRING ON THE RAIN! Bases loaded, as Barajas takes ball 4. Here comes Bobby Cox. Gonzalez looks terrible. 13 of 24 pitches missed the strike zone. Can Soriano get the save? Gonzalez is done for the evening.
Soriano vs Millar. Rafael's ERA is 1.50. Millar is 1-1 in his career vs him. Foul ball for strike one. A double play would be nice. Millar is currently batting .293. Swing and a miss for strike 2.
Ball 1, looked like STRIKE 3! Bad call. Doesn't matter. Millar swings and misses for out #2.

Fly ball out. Soriano records the save. Great work by the Braves reliever! Braves win 4-3. Blue Jays squandered a great opportunity. I'll take it. Go Braves!
