The Braves and Marlins have just begun their 3 game series in Atlanta. After an uneventful 1st inning, Marlin Mike Stanton drilled a leadoff double in the top of the 2nd. But, Florida left him stranded 90 feet away.
Tommy Hanson is hoping to shrink his ugly 6.00 ERA down a bit.
For the fish, Chris Volstad (1.80 ERA) has been impressive through 2.
After 3 and a half, Florida has 2 hits but no runs. Atlanta just has nothing. Freeman, pitcher, Prado due up for Bravos.
If this one gets interesting, I'll provide some updates in the comments section.

3rd followed by Nate McLouth RBI DOUBLE. Braves lead 1-0.
Chipper Jones at the plate.
RBI single 2-0 ATL.
Brian McCann grounds out to end the inning. But, Braves take 2-0 lead into 4th.
Score remains 2-0 Good guys, heading into bottom of 4th.
Around the NL East:
Nats lead Philly 4-1 in 5th. Dastardly Mets game vs Colorado PPD.
Quick 1st out for the struggling Dan Uggla. Jason Heyward batting for Braves. SOLO HR! 3-0 ATL.
Florida's Logan Morrison- leadoff double to start 5th, followed by pop out off bat of Buck. 1 out and a fish on 2nd.
Some dude named Greg Dobbs just got a base on balls. Fish on 1st and 2nd with 1 out, as pitcher will likely attempt sac bunt.
0-2 to pitcher.
Pitcher goes down on strikes. Dude bunted K3 foul.
2 gone for light hittin' CF Coghlan.
3-2 to Coghlan.
STRIKE 3! Inning over.
Nats now lead Philly 5-1 in 6th.
Prado leads off for Braves in 5th.

Sac bunt by McLouth. Prado to 3B, 1 out. Larry Jones up to bat.
Sac Fly. 4-0 Braves. 2 out for Uggla.
Correction: 2 out for McCann and the Braves catcher just blasted one all the way to Augusta! Atlanta leads 5-0.
Now, Uggla bats.
Uggla stretches a single into 2 sacks. Great hustle by the former Fish.
2 out for Heyward, who will be intentionally walked.
Volstad doesn't look like the same dude that started tonight's game for Florida. Somehow, the Braves' bats have gotten the best of him, on a night when Chris was throwing a very effective effort, early on.
Pitching change has been made. Brian Sanches takes the mound and gets Alex Gonzalez to pop out.
Inning over, but Braves lead blooms to 5 zero.

.324 hittin' Gaby Sanches leads off for fish. BB after just 4 pitches. Atlanta has a couple of dudes warming up in the bullpen. Great start by Hanson, but Tommy has thrown 6 straight balls to start the 7th inning. Dude might be in need of some relief.

And, we have my first double post of a comment for the 2011 season. Anyway, Lo Mo flied out and Chipper started a spectacular Braves double play off the bat of a Marlin. I've got UVERSE and it keeps freezing, even though there are no storms in the area. So, I'm not sure who the Florida batter was, but I love the result.

Eric O'Flaherty pitches for Atlanta in 8th. Wes, the former Braves' farmhand, batting for Fish. Dude is a 35 year old pinch hitter...not that there's anything wrong with that.

Infield single. Pitching change for Atlanta. Still 1 scrawny 1 out and fish are on 1B and 2B in Marlin 8th.
