In case you missed it, Sekou Smith of www.ajc.com wrote a nice piece on his Hawks blog, titled "Where Ridiculous Happens." It's a must read for fans excited about tonight's Game 6 of the playoff series between Miami and Atlanta. It's pretty lenghthy, however. So, if you're just in the mood for a good laugh, skim down and check out the the link to deadspin.com, by clicking on the words have taken a liking to him. Here, you can listen to some humorous audio replays of Hawks announcer Steve Holman mocking Dwayne Wade and referencing the Heat as thugs. It's definitely worth a listen.

I'll post a few game notes/updates in the comments section. As I'm typing this, D Wade just made an awesome dunk, to put Miami up 28-15. Miami has the ball again and Wade gets fouled by Josh Smith.

To hear Steve Holman call Game 6, go to www.790thezone.com and select Listen Live. The audio is a bit behind the live action, but could be interesting to hear what he'll say, if things get heated.
So far, this game is going as expected during this strange series. Miami has jumped out to a 24-12 1st Quarter lead. In games 1 through 5, the team that's won the 1st quarter, has won the game. Maybe things will heat up in a little bit,
Surprised to see Marvin Williams enter the game. Don't know if that's a wise move by Atlanta, considering his back is still bothering him.
Ugly 1st quarter for Atlanta. Going into the 2nd, they trail 32-18. After watching this team perform poorly on the road all season long, as well as in the playoffs, I ain't surprised. Can't even say I'm disappointed. Seems to be what you expect from this inconsistent club.
17 point lead for Miami. The larger this deficit gets, the DUMBER the decision to play Marvin Williams looks. If the Hawks ain't gonna compete, why not save him for Game 7, and give Marvin some extra rest for his injured back? The local guys said that Marvin convinced Woodson to play him, but who's the coach? Atlanta appears life-less, so I see no reason for risking further injury to Williams.
Double Tech-Fouls. One on Zaza, the other on Magloire. Horrible possession for Atlanta.
Hawks cut lead to 8 points. Don't look now, but this could actually turn into a ballgame.
Tech Foul on Mo Evans of Atlanta, following a TERRIBLE call by the officials. Heat extend lead to 14.
Bibby just pulled a Reggie Miller-esque score, steal, and score again play. His layup brings the Hawks to within 9 at the half.
The crafty veteran has 20 points, to keep Atlanta alive in Game 6.
Bad weather is moving in, so if I go off-line for awhile, I'll be back some time tomorrow.
Just in case anyone out there cares, Braves lead Houston 6-2 in top of 7th inning. Lowe is on the mound for Atlanta.
Around the NL East, Cubs beat Marlins 8-6.
Nats trail Cards 6-2 in 8th inning.
Mets 7, Phillies 3 in 6th.
How 'bout those Celtics and Bulls. Great series. Doubt it will happen, but it's rumored that KG could make an appearance in Game 7. For more info, check out www.ESPN.com.
Sorry. ESPN.go.com.
2 out in 7th. Runners on 1st and 3rd. Derek Lowe has been removed from the game. Looks like Moylan was up in Braves' bullpen.
3rd Quarter of Hawks vs Heat has begun. Miami scores and is up 11. Hawks miss and Heat has the ball. Anthony puts Miami up 13. Timeout Atlanta with 10:33 to go in 3rd.
Carlos Lee bats for Houston.
Ground out ends the inning. Atl 6, Houston 2.
Back to Hawks/Heat:
Looks like there will be a Game 7 in Atlanta on Sunday. 11 turnovers for Atl. Miami is up 15, as Wade goes to the line.
Unless Atlanta goes on a run, there's no need for me to provide any further updates on Game 6.
See ya'll later.
