Kenshin Kawakami faces Roy Halladay. Toronto was sent down in order in the 1st. Garrett Anderson just struck out, as Atlanta has a man on 1B, with Brian McCann at the plate. 0-2 to McCann. Just missed a double down the left field line. The Braves aren't just struggling on the field (20-20), their attendance has been dismal this season. Can't help but notice a LOT of blue seats in the outfield. 1-2 on McCann, as he fouls off a pitch from Halladay. Single by McCann puts runners on 1st and 3rd with 2 outs. Rios almost made a great diving catch. Kelly Johnson strikes out to end the inning. If this game gets interesting, I'll post some updates in the comments section.
Chipper Jones is day to day with a toe injury. I'll also be keeping an eye on game 2 of Orlando vs Cleveland in the NBA playoffs. Speaking of that, I've gotta change channels while Toronto bats. Vernon Wells just grounded out. Hope Kawakami keeps up the good work. Go Braves!

Braves are boring me at the moment. LeBron James just threw down a nice dunk in transition. 17-7 Cavs. Another Orlando TO and Turkoglu commits his 2nd foul. Mo Williams misses the 1st of 2 FTs. Makes the 2nd. 18-7 Cleveland with 5:32 left in 1st Quarter. Foul on Varejao. Anthony Johnson scores, and it is 18-9 Cleve.
Braves and Blue Jays are 0-0 in top of the 4th. Rios flies out. 2 gone for Toronto. Vernon Wells grounds out. Braves up to bat. Basehit by Garrett Anderson. Hit by McCann puts men on 1st and 2nd with 0 out. Kelly Johnson takes ball 1. Sac bunt attempt goes foul. 1-1 to Johnson. Another bunt attempt goes foul. 1-2 to KJ. Takes a called 3rd strike. What a wasted at bat!
Martin Prado down 1-2 in the count. It's time to get some runs.
Runners advance to 2nd and 3rd, as Prado grounds out to right side of infield. 2 out for Francouer. An RBI single would be nice.
Jeff flied out to Rios. Braves leave runners on 2nd and 3rd. Score stays 0-0 going into 5th. Atlanta really squandered an opportunity there. Toronto bats, as I switch channels back to Orlando vs Cleveland.
Joe Smith just hit a 3 to put Cleveland up 43-20. Cavs are pulling away and the scary part, is that they're doing it with LeBron on the bench. If this game gets close, I'll update you. If not, there'll be a prolonged period of silence on the topic.
Braves and Blue Jays are still 0-0, as Kawakami strikes out the side. Braves up to bat in bottom of 6th.
McCann takes a 2 out walk. Can Braves get some 2 out magic? Kelly Johnson takes a big cut, but misses for strike 1. McCann steals 2nd, as KJ takes strike 2. Sadly, the Braves catcher is now tied for the team lead in steals, with a blazing 2 swiped bags. KJ grounds out. Inning over. Still 0-0. This may double post. Having a few issues with my CPU.
Pizza man is knocking on the door. See ya'll in later.
At the Half, Cleveland leads Orlando 56-44. LeBron has 17 points. Nice rally by Orlando, to get back in the game. Magic went on a 24-13 run, to get within 12. They need to feed Dwight Howard in the second half. Ilgauskas cannot stop him. As Bill Walton would say, "Give the rock to the big fella!"
Braves and Blue Jays 0-0. Kawakami on the mound for Atlanta. Man on 2nd, 0 out for Toronto in 8th. Moylan and O'Flaherty warming up in bullpen, as Overbay gets called for check swing strike. Lyle grounds out. Kenshin made a nice grab, then threw to 1st. Barajas bats, as Rolen stands on 2B.
Barajas JUST missed an RBI double down left field line. Foul by a foot, if that. Count is 1-2. Rod takes ball 2. Count 2-2. Ball 3.
Barajas flies out to right field. Halladay will be pinch hit for. 2 outs, man on second for Toronto, as pitching coach, Roger McDowell goes out to talk to Kenshin Kawakami.
PH Joe Inglett is down 1-2 in his first at bat of the season.
STRIKE 3!!
Great performance by Kawakami. Kenshin is due up in the bottom of the 8th. Bobby Cox will likely use a PH. As good as he's pitched, I'd be afraid to remove Kawakami from the game. Kenshin has thrown a 3 hit shutout through 8. Jesse Carlson (3.27 ERA) will face PH Matt Diaz. LEAD OFF DOUBLE by Diaz!
Yunel Escobar up to bat. 0-2.
Escobar is batting 450 with runners in scoring position. Ground out to ride side of infield advances runner to 3rd. Great AB.
Kotchman can give Braves the lead. Sac fly would be nice. 2-1 to Braves 1st Baseman.
Fly ball to left. Here comes Diaz. BRAVES LEAD 1-0!
Is 1 run enough? Garrett Anderson bats with 2 out. Closer Mike Gonzalez warms up in Braves bullpen.
Anderson flies out. 1 run better be enough. Blue Jays will face Gonzalez in 9th. This is Braves baseball. Great starting pitching, timely hitting, 1-0 lead with your closer on the mound in the 9th. Feels like old times. Hopefully, Gonzo gets the job done.
1 out in 9th. Scutaro is 0-4.
Aaron Hill doubles.
Alex Rios up to bat.
1-1 to Rios.
2 out, but runner advances to 3rd. Vernon Wells up to bat. Tying run is just 90 feet away. I'd walk Wells.
0-2 to Wells.
GREAT PLAY BY PRADO! BRAVES WIN!!!
That was CLOSE! Can't say enough about the performance of Kenshin (previously strugglin') Kawakami. Feels good to win a 1-0 game. Guys on TV said that last happened at Turner Field in 2004. Great game. Go Braves!
How 'bout some basketball? Cleveland is up 70-61 in 3rd. James looks to complete 3 point play.
LeBron is bleeding. Relax, it's only his knee. I think he'll be OK. Where's Dwight Howard? Magic are not running their offense thorugh him. Big mistake.
4 Fouls on Dwight Howard, as Cavs lead by 10 with just over 2 and a half minutes left in 3rd. That might hurt the Magic.
Howard goes to the bench. Don't think he'll sit long. Orlando must run their offense through #12. 2 FTs by Delonte West put Cleveland up 12. Bad foul by Joe Smith gives Rashard Lewis 3 FTs. Play is under review. Not sure why. Lewis makes all 3.
Turnover. Orlando ball. Magic need a score. Down 9. 5 Fouls on Joe Smith. DUMB!
Turkoglu nails a 3! Cavs by 6.
Gotta disagree with the announcers. Bad call on Courtney Lee. Should have been a 3 point opportunity for Orlando. Instead, Lee was called for a charge. The player was in the air, as a defender stepped into him. Should have been a blocking foul. Marv Albert...YOU'RE WRONG on this one! Cavs by 6 entering 4th.
In order to type/update faster, LeBron James will be referred to as LJ from this moment on. This dude may have some kind of impact on the remainder of the game.
What's a Gortat? Cavs by 4.
LJ runs over Gortat. Big surprise. Foul called on Gortat. 79-71 Cavs.
Pavlovic runs over Gortat. Once again...Foul on Gortat. Tech Foul on him as well. Poor guy is gettin' drilled. Don't blame him for being frustrated. Back to back bad calls against the Magic reserve.
82-75 Cleveland, as TNT goes to commercial.
A trio of bad calls against Magic have kept Cavs ahead.
I don't believe my eyes. A ref actually had the guts to call an offensive foul on LJ. Thank God. Superstars shouldn't get the calls, just because of their skills. Call it like it is.
Wow! LJ ran somebody over and again got called for an offensive foul. 3 by Pietrus brings the score to 80-82 Cavs.
Tie game!
84-84 with 6:08 left. Dwight Howard seems to be the forgotten man for Orlando. Can't recall the last time he touched the ball on offense.
Rashard Lewis has a headache. Mo Williams has a cramp.
Willliams nails a 3. Cavs lead 89-86.
Offensive foul on Turkoglu. Magic lead by 3. Bad posession by Orlando. Once again, why not give the ball to Dwight Howard?
Magic lead should have read Cavs lead by 3. Sorry.
91-88 Cleveland with 2:45 left.
Magic are settling for jumpshots. That's fine, when you're making them, but their last few trips down the floor have not been successful. When you have a 6'10 All Star on your team, you've got to give him the rock! Don't be surprised if #12 calls out Van Gundy after this one.
93-90 Cavs with less than 2 to go.
Big posession for Cleveland. LJ fouled by Pietrus.
Here come the MVP chants. Excuse me while I vomit. Orlando gets ball. Turkoglu ties it up with a 3! 33.4 seconds left. Cavs ball.
LJ called for travel. 30.9 seconds left. 93-93 and Magic will have the ball.
Foul on Pavlovic. Magic ball. 13.6 seconds left. Orlando can drain the clock.
Orchestral version of "We are the Champions" being played in Cleveland. Kind of makes me hope they lose! Go Magic.
Now, we get "Star Wars" theme music. Go Orlando.
Rashard Lewis throws in-bounds pass to Turkoglu. He'll hold for last shot. Shoots SCORES! 1 second left. Magic 95. Cavs 93.
Cavs fans are about ready to cry.
Mo Williams to LJ an INCREDIBLE 3!! CAVS WIN AT BUZZER. UNBELIEVABLE SHOT!!!
I can't believe that just happened. Now, Magic fans are crying. I ain't sayin' nothin 'bout the MVP chants now. What a phenomenal play by LeBron James.
Good night, ya'll.
