After a lengthy rain delay, Bobby Cox has chosen to field a lineup featuring bench players in San Francisco. Playing 3B for the Braves tonight, is Eric "I'm a pinch hitter" Henske. Joining him in the infield is fellow scrub, Omar "not Menaya" Infante at 2B. In left field, Matt "platoon player" Diaz gets the start. Former yank, Melky Cabrera is in center field for the Braves. Atlanta leads 2-0, via a 2 run homer by All Star catcher Brian McCann in the first inning. Kenshin "Sammy" Kawakami is on the mound for the Braves. So far, he's off to a good start. Tim Lincecum is pitching for San Francisco. Atlanta is up to bat in the top of the 3rd. Martin Prado is on second, as Henske comes up to bat. Brian McCann is on deck.

Henske and McCann were fanned by Lincecum. Game is going into bottom of 3rd. Score is still Atl 2 SF 0.
2-1 Braves in top 5th. Kawakami at the plate. Top of the order follows.
3 Braves up, 3 Braves down. Giants due up in bottom 5th.
Mid 6, 2-1 Braves.
Derosa drives in 2 with RBI triple. SF leads 3-2.
Inning over on DEEP fly ball out.
Kris Medlen now on the mound for Atlanta. 3-2 bad guys in bottom of 7th.
Medlen mows the Giants down. Score stays 3-2 going into 8th. Braves gotta get some RUNS!
Braves go down in order. Looks like Atlanta left their bats in Atlanta.
Pablo Sandoval just hit a 2 run HR. 5-2 SF. That could be it for the Braves tonight.
6-2 Sf
Game over. Giants win 6-3. Jason Heyward hit meaningless solo shot with 2 out in the Atlanta 9th. Diaz struck out to end the Braves hopes of a potential rally.
So far, I do not like what I've seen from the Atlanta Braves. Errors and lack of clutch hitting have already cost this team a few wins. The season is young, but this team does not look like a contender.
Braves are in San Diego tomorrow.
